Taylow Swift’s new music video for “We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together" features that oldest and truest of the TaySwiftian tropes, the window look-out:
The classic Tay Swift window lookout has its origins in her breakout “Love Story.” Technically here she’s peering out ‘neath the suffit of an olde-timey arch, but I think it lays the ground-work for the more refined longing window-stares to come. Extra points for ringlets.
"Back To December." Classic pneumonia-risking, Casual Corner sweater window-look. This is some auteur shit.
BONUS: Looking through a car window, doing reconnaissance on an ex in “Picture To Burn,” which I am assuming is a real song.
(Wait, before I could post this Stevie started singing “You Belong With Me,” and I don’t know how to feel. My stomach is in knots. I think StevieNicksHasNever needs to devote a day to this debacle.)
