I’m identifying pretty strongly with this gal tonight, and not just because sometimes I get weary with “turning it on” at work, and not just because it’s the DEAD of winter, and not just because today I listened to an unintentionally harrowing episode of This American Life that featured a man living with Asperger’s who described how he fakes every social interaction and moment of human empathy and how everyone around him think it’s genuine and maybe every friendship I think I have is a lie and maybe you’ve all been just faking it to my face this whole time, maybe.
